About Opportunity Next
Opportunity Next helps students from the Class of 2024 (and equivalent completers, like someone who earned their GED) gain the skills necessary to make it in the careers powering Colorado forward.
Opportunity Next was created when your state government allocated $25,000,000 to accelerate skill development among graduating high school seniors. Our goal now is to make sure you know about and are prepared to succeed in Colorado’s fast-growing purpose-driven careers.

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) is dedicated to promoting economic growth and job creation in the state. We aim to ensure Colorado's workers possess the skills and training needed to excel in the state's in demand industries, thereby fostering continued economic prosperity and success.
We work closely with industry leaders to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the job market; the Opportunity Next scholarship and advising program is one key way we’re investing in Colorado’s next generation to meet the demands of the state's growing industries.
